Wrist Brace for Wrist and Hand Pain:
rest the wrist in a safe position

A wrist brace keeps the wrist tilted slightly back on a rigid stay, sized to you. It rests a hurt or overworked wrist in a guarded angle and can quiet hand numbness and tingling overnight.

Your physician orders this equipment, and we fit it to you before you go home.

What is wrist brace?

A brace that keeps the wrist tilted slightly back on a rigid stay, set along the hand’s underside or topside. We size it to you.

What it does for you

It rests a hurt or overworked wrist in a guarded angle and can quiet hand numbness and tingling overnight.

Its role around regenerative treatment

Hand and wrist pain often has more than one source, from tendon to nerve. A brace protects the area while your physician sorts out which tissue is driving the pain and whether an injection fits.

The right fit and feel

Supportive and comfortable. Fingers and thumb move freely.

Daily use and upkeep

Keep fingers and thumb in motion while it is on. Each day, slip it off to wash and to look the skin over.

Reasons to phone the clinic

  • Fingers that turn cold, blue, numb or puffy
  • Rubbing that leaves a raw patch

Fitting happens here: we size the item, you practice wearing and removing it while we watch, and printed steps go home with you. Phone (314) 295-3000 if it hurts, fits poorly or breaks.

How long you use it

Typical use is overnight plus any task that flares the wrist, following your physician’s order.

What to remember

  1. Wiggle fingers and thumb often.
  2. Daily skin check.
  3. Fingers going cold, bluish or numb: phone us.

Show us you have it: Before you go, fasten it and snug the straps while we look. If a point is fuzzy, say so and we walk through it again with you.
