A firm, pleasant buzz that should never cross into pain. You hold a call button throughout, and at five minutes a technician checks on you.
When this treatment is off the table
- A pacemaker, or an implanted nerve stimulator
- Across the belly or low back in pregnancy
- The front of the throat, the eyes, or straight across the chest
- Broken skin or a known clot
- The head or neck in anyone with past seizures
Your technician reads the safety questions aloud at every visit, and any change in your answers goes to the physician before a treatment starts. You may call a stop whenever you like.
Time involved
Budget about 15 minutes. The order sets the clock, not the machine.
